APC Has The Opportunity To Correct Past Misdeeds: Former Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, has stated that the incumbent All Progressives Congress government has been given another chance to right their past transgressions against Nigerians.

According to The Punch, Wike revealed this during a live media talk on Tuesday in Port Harcourt, the state capital. “APC should be ecstatic that God has given them a chance at the expense of PDP.” “God gave APC the opportunity to repent for their sins against Nigerians,” Wike remarked.

The former governor again chastised the PDP for failing to implement its zoning policy, which he claimed cost them the presidential election on February 25 and offered the APC an opportunity to win.

He also requested that critics demonstrate their support and also urged detractors to express their support for the current administration in delivering democracy’s dividends to Nigerians. “God gave them this chance now, and they want to blow it again by bringing in crisis,” he remarked.

Who suffers if Mr. President does not have a seamless government at the end of the day? Isn’t it Nigerians? Let us think that we are all one, and let us instill a sense of belonging in everyone. When asked if he would accept an appointment from President Bola Tinubu, Wike stated that he is not begging for one but is interested in the role in which he will serve if one is offered.

First and foremost, for Christ’s sake, I am not lobbying for an appointment. And I can’t just be. This is significant because you have given me an appointment. I mean, you should take a close look at it.

Secondly, Mr. President has not phoned. With all due respect, if Mr. President calls and says, I want you to serve, please do so. Maybe I’ll inquire in what capacity you’d like me to serve. And when he says it, I say okay, sir.

Look, I have a political team, I have a family, and I’m not going to sit down and say oh yes without talking to anyone. Look, I’m not pleading for an appointment.

The media interview came less than 24 hours after Wike, former Ebonyi state Governor Dave Umahi, and Senator Godswill Akpabio met with Tinubu behind closed doors at the Aso Rock Villa.
