President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria hosted Patrice Talon, President of the Benin Republic, at his residence in Abuja on Friday evening.

President Tinubu hosted Talon on June 23 in Paris, France, for the signing of the Summit on New Global Financing Pact.

Although little information about the meeting in Abuja on Friday was available, the Presidency released photos of both leaders at President Tinubu’s residence.

According to a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Special Duties, Communication, and Strategy, Mr Dele Alake, Tinubu emphasised the need for African countries to strengthen the continent’s standing in the community of nations during their meeting in Paris.
