Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo expressed his admiration for Chelsea, acknowledging that he is flattered by the constant links between himself and the prestigious club.
As he prepares to return to Brighton for pre-season, Caicedo recognized Chelsea as one of the best clubs in the world.

The Ecuadorian midfielder has emerged as Chelsea’s prime target for the summer transfer window, particularly following the departures of Mateo Kovacic, N’Golo Kante, and Mason Mount.
However, negotiations between Chelsea and Brighton have failed to yield an agreement thus far.
Brighton remains firm on their stance, stating that they will only consider a deal in the region of £100 million or a fee similar to what West Ham received from Arsenal for Declan Rice.
In fact, during the previous January transfer window, Brighton rejected two offers, including a £70 million bid from Arsenal, for Caicedo’s services.
Brighton’s resolve to secure a substantial fee has been strengthened by Chelsea’s strong financial position, which was bolstered by the sale of several players, including Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Despite the ongoing speculation, Caicedo is expected to report for pre-season training with Brighton this week.
Nevertheless, he took the opportunity to share his thoughts on Chelsea’s sustained interest in him during an interview with Ecuadorian reporter Maria Jose Flores.
Caicedo referred to Chelsea as a “big team” with a rich history, unable to turn down the allure of such a prestigious and beautiful club. He also highlighted the beauty of the city itself.
He said: “It’s a big team, that’s true. A very historic team and I can’t say No, because it’s a very big, historic, beautiful team. The city as well is beautiful. It’s got everything beautiful.”
Additionally, Caicedo expressed his gratitude towards Brighton fans, acknowledging the warm treatment he and his family have received since joining the club.
He emphasized the strong bond among the players and described the club as a family, while also commending the directors for their excellent treatment.
