The PDP revealed this in a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, in Abuja on Wednesday.  The party also tasked the Buhari-led government to come clean on its role in the sudden rise in insecurity in Anambra state ahead of the election.

The statement reads, “this demand is predicated on apprehensions in the public space that the spate of insecurity in Anambra is contrived to heighten tension in the state so as to derail the democratic process to the advantage of the APC.

The party said, the federal government has the power and capacity to maintain peace in Anambra, before, during and after the state election, if it so desires.

“We, therefore, invite the President Muhammadu Buhari-led APC Federal Government to be guided accordingly,” the party said.
