The speech was in favour of his joint petition with the PDP to overturn INEC’s proclamation of Bola Tinubu as the election winner.
In his final presentation, Atiku stated that INEC’s claim that he won in 21 states was neither questioned, repudiated, disproved, nor claimed to be an error.
INEC stated in its answer to Atiku’s petition that the PDP’s presidential candidate won 21 states in the 2016 presidential election.
Adamawa and Akwa Ibom are among the 21 states recognised by INEC as having been won by Atiku and the PDP.
Bauchi. Bayelsa. Borno, Delta, Ekiti, Gombe, Jigawa, Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi. Kogi. Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Osun, Sokoto, Taraba, Yobe, and Zamfara are among the states.
The former Vice President argued that because INEC stated he won those states and did not refute the allegation during the hearings, the tribunal should sustain the declaration.
The 1st Respondent also claims that it faithfully executed its duties when it collated the 1st Petitioner’s (Atiku) election scores, which totaled 6,984,520 while winning only 21 states, in accordance with existing rules and regulations.

“In fact, as the 1st Respondent (INEC) admitted, the 1st Petitioner (Atiku) won in these 21 states.” It is significant to note that the 1st Respondent (INEC) did not contradict, countermand, or deny this critical averment during the trial.
However, Atiku asked the tribunal to confirm INEC’s claim in the process and declare him the winner of the February 25 presidential election.
