PDP in Benue State believes that the latest declaration by the State Governor, Alia, indicates that he made a deal with local bandits and Fulani herders soon before the 2023 election.
As a result, in a statement made available to newsmen in Makurdi on Friday, Bemgba Iortyom, the PDP’s State Publicity Secretary, urged the governor to come clean about the arrangement he struck with robbers and Fulani herdsmen.

About 27 people were slain and one person kidnapped, this challenges the validity to Alia’s arrangement with the bandits.
Governor, Hyacinth Alia, had publicly confessed to having a pact with bandits in the Sankera area of the state comprising Katsina-Ala, Ukum, and Logo LGAs, who have over the years allegedly been behind killings, kidnappings, and other forms of crime in the area.
