“When I’m given a script, the first thing I look out for is my positioning in the story. I believe I have what it takes to be a leading man,” Faniran explained.

He expressed his desire to portray characters that showcase his potential and enable him to be the best in his craft. In most cases, he seeks roles that fall under the category of the lead character or the supporting lead character, providing him with the opportunity to exhibit his versatility.

Avoiding stereotypes is another significant criterion for Faniran when considering acting roles. He expressed his aversion to being typecast as a playboy, lover boy, or bad guy repeatedly.

Instead, he strives for diversity in the characters he portrays, which allows him to demonstrate his range and flexibility as an actor.

Faniran also takes into account the production team and the overall quality of the film before committing to a project.

He considers factors such as the film’s potential reach and impact, whether it will contribute to his career growth, and the reputation of the people involved in its production.

Additionally, he weighs the financial compensation offered for his time and talent, acknowledging that as a businessman, he has other commitments to consider.

“I’m a businessman, and I have other things to do. So, I just weigh it down. Even if it’s not about the money, it should be worth my time,” Faniran added, highlighting the need for the project to provide value beyond monetary compensation.
