The All Progressives Congress (APC), Chieftain Osarobo Idahosa has declared that his party would win the governorship election scheduled to take place on September 19, 2020, in spite of the positions being canvassed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Governor Godwin Obaseki, ahead of the poll.
The Chieftain said the legacies of former governor and immediate past National Chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, and the SIMPLE agenda of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu would guarantee a ticket for the party in the forthcoming poll.

The leader of the APC in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo, declared this while responding to questions from journalists on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, in Benin City. Idahosa added that he is certain that the APC would win the ten wards in his area.
“Osagie Ize-Iyamu is a grass root politician who is at home with the young and old, men and women across the three Senatorial districts of the state. With his pedigree as a politician in addition to the performance of Oshiomhole as governor, there is no doubt that the APC will win the election come September 19, he stated.

In addition, Idahosa noted that there was no continuity on what Oshiomhole delivered to the state after his two terms as governor. “Election of Ize-Iyamu will also ensure the continuity of Oshiomhole’s projects that the PDP candidate failed to build upon,” added Idahosa.
