The All Progressives Congress (APC), chieftain, Mr. Joe Igbokwe has expressed optimism that the party would win Lagos East Senatorial and Kosofe 2 state constituency by-elections scheduled to take place on October 31 by a landslide.

The chieftain made the comments while addressing journalists in Ikeja after receiving an “Excellent in Leadership Award” by Ndigbo in Lagos APC. “I do not see any competition from any political party in the election. APC will win the two by-elections with a landslide; the party will emerge victoriously. I don’t see any competition from any party in Lagos,” he said.

Igbokwe said the APC is the party for Lagosians, adding that they will treat the poll with all gravity to make the victory overwhelming. “As far as I am concerned, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is dead. Do they still exist? I don’t think so. Whoever emerges as our candidates will win,” he added.

The APC chieftain expressed thankfulness to Ndigbo in Lagos APC for the award, declaring “It reflects the confidence reposed in me as apex leader of the group.” He swore that he would carry on working tirelessly to make the group a formidable force in Lagos APC.

Moreover, he called for harmony in Ndigbo, stating that was the only way to attain the goals of the group. Igbokwe declared that he was the only apex leader of Ndigbo in Lagos, adding that any person laying entitlement to the title should be treated as a deceiver.
