The governor of Niger State, Sani Bello has assured residents of Kagara town in Rafi Local Government Area that the government was arranging resources at its disposal to tackle the insecurity crisis in the area.

This came after reported armed gangsters allegedly attacked Kagara town, shooting sporadically to scare away residents on Wednesday, September 2, 2020.

A statement released on Thursday in Minna by his Chief Press Secretary, Mrs. Mary Berje, it was disclosed that no responsible government would fold its arms and allow law-abiding and innocent citizens to be mowed down.

The governor vowed to the community residents that he will guarantee the safety of their lives and property. He noted that the state was working together with the Federal Government and security agencies to address the issue of insecurity in the state.

Moreover, he sympathised with the families of those who lost their lives in the attack and prayed for the speedy recovery of all injured victims. Governor Bello urged for the collaboration of the people in providing useful information to security agencies and assured them that their identity will be protected.
