The alleged arrest by the Nigerian government, aided by Kenyan authorities, drew criticism from international observers and legal practitioners, who labelled the act “abduction” rather than “arrest.”

Omokri stated that since the arrest, Igbo Governors and politicians have been quiet; however, the Sunday Igboho house invasion prompted a meeting of the Southern Governors, which resulted in the decision that security agents must obtain permission from governors before operating.

The statement reads, “Nnamdi Kanu may be very annoying and brash. But my question to Ndi’Igbo is this: How many Northerners, including their leaders like Buhari and the Sultan of Sokoto, have come out to rubbish killer herdsmen the way you rubbish Kanu?

“Between Kanu and killer herdsmen, who is worse? Do you not see the way the Yoruba are treating Sunday Igboho? In case you are not aware, not only have they disciplined their mouths to say only good about Igboho, and if they cannot, they keep quiet.
