On Monday, the Southern Nigerian Governors’ Forum, SGF, issued a warning to all security agencies in the country not to operate in the region without first obtaining permission from the governor of the relevant state.
This was stated in a communiqué read by Ondo State Governor Rotimi shortly after their closed-door meeting in Lagos on Monday.
The governors also insisted that the country’s next president come from the southern region.
