Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, is ready to marry for the sixth time in less than two months.
On Sunday, October 23, 2022, Ooni’s spokesperson, Moses Olafare, announced the wedding in a Facebook post.

The monarch will marry his sixth wife, Temitope Adesegun, on Monday, October 24, 2022, according to the announcement.
This comes less than a week after Oba Ogunwusi married Ronke Ademiluyi, the founder of African Fashion Week, in a ceremony on Thursday, October 20, 2022.
According to Olafare’s post, the Ooni’s sixth wife-to-be, Adesegun, is an Ijebu princess.
The Facebook post by Olafare simply wrote, “Olori Temitope Adesegun Ogunwusi an Ijebu Princess cum Ile-Ife Queen. Tomorrow is the D-day.”
It should be noted that the revered monarch’s former (third) wife, Naomi Silekunola, announced her divorce from the monarch in December 2021.
The former queen and the Ooni of Ife married about three years ago and have a son together.
Ooni has been married to other women, including Adebukola Bombata, the recorded first wife of the Ooni of Ife, who divorced the king shortly after he ascended the throne.
Following the failure of his marriage to Silekunola, the monarch married five women in less than two months.
