In the early hours of Tuesday, November 1, 2022, news of Davido and Chioma’s son Ifeanyi Adeleke’s death circulated on Twitter, with many wishing to hear that the information was false.
According to reports on social media, Ifeanyi, who was only three and a half weeks ago, fell into a pool and drowned. He was later rushed to a hospital in Lekki, where he died.

Ifeanyi’s death was first mentioned online by Nigerian actress Eniola Badmus. She posted a cryptic message with a heartbreak emoji on her Instagram story before deleting it after a while.
As social media users continue to wish that the news was a prank, media personality Daddy Freeze hinted that he wouldn’t be doing his usual live session tonight due to the painful loss of someone close to him.
