Police in Cross River State confirmed yesterday that a woman had been arrested after killing her young daughter.
Blessing Enoh, 25, was accused of beheading the child, who was estimated to be around 10 years old.

According to police spokeswoman Irene Ugbo, another child of the suspect raised the alarm after seeing her mother washing a bloodstained machete used in the crime.
The incident occurred on Tuesday in the state’s Ugep region according to reports.
Ugbo said while adding that “The name of the deceased is Purity.
