During a breakfast chat organized by The 2baba Foundation on Monday in Lagos, renowned artist 2baba emphasized the significance of providing support and care for displaced persons.
2Baba expressed his deep empathy for their plight and conveyed his desire to do more for them.

As an Ambassador for the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), 2baba recounted his experience at an Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp, where he witnessed the immense pain and instability endured by the displaced individuals.
Moved by their circumstances, he called upon compassionate Nigerians to contribute to bringing smiles back to the faces of IDPs.
“While interacting with the displaced persons, their anguish was evident in their eyes. Their unsettled state deeply affected me. We can never do enough for them;-
-but that should not deter us. Let us continue supporting these displaced persons to the best of our abilities,” 2baba urged.
He further emphasized the importance of not neglecting the IDPs, as doing so may lead them down a path resembling those who caused their displacement, or even turn them into a societal menace.
Hence, 2baba encouraged individuals to assist the needy, particularly the displaced persons, stressing that no contribution is too small.
“I have always believed that we should give whenever we can. Our generosity should not be a show of ostentation but rather an inspiration for others to do the same,” 2Baba affirmed.
