President Muhammadu Buhari has issued a statement in response to the death of gospel music star Sammie Okposo who was reported dead a few days ago.
According to a statement issued by the Nigerian leader’s spokesperson, Femi Adesina, the Nigerian leader expresses condolences to the family, friends, and fans of the singer who obviously will be mourning him.

President Buhari expressed his condolences to Okposo’s industry colleagues and the younger generation.
The President praised the deceased for “his elevating style of praise and worship.”
He also praised Okopos’s creative contributions to Nollywood, as well as his “inspiring role in grooming talents and mentoring them.”
Buhari prayed for his soul’s repose and urged his family to find comfort in his investments of love.
The musician, 51, died on Friday at an undisclosed hospital in Lagos.
Okposo, who lives on the island in an estate, was rushed to the hospital after collapsing.
Following his death, it was revealed that the producer suffered from hypertension/high blood pressure (HBP).

The late multiple-award winner served as the CEO of Zamar Entertainment until his death.
We are yet to hear details of the singer’s burial arrangement.
