NASS has allegedly been reported for planning a Coup against the new Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

The 10th National Assembly rages on senators in the camp of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, are fearful that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will withdraw or has already withdrawn his support for him.

This comes amid reports that senators, primarily from the South West, have summoned a meeting for Friday to review their position and plan a new course on Senate leadership.

Akpabio, a former Niger Delta minister running for Senate President of the 10th National Assembly, had been criticized.

With this statement, most of us realized that President Bola Tinubu would not support any Senator who had myriads of cases of corruption in anti-graft agencies after declaring to the world that he would strengthen and make them more effective.

In a similar event, a series of APC meetings intended to break the developing impasse failed to provide the desired results.

According to a source familiar with the latter meeting, the party has been thrown into disarray as a result of the zoning agreement sold to the president.

There is confusion everywhere, and even the party’s National Working Committee meeting with the progressive governors ended without a consensus.

They are now attempting to portray those who are standing firm as Tinubu’s people. They must be joking if they think the G-6 can be intimidated.

One thing that piques our attention is that even the President now knows the truth, which is why he is approving all of these meetings in order to defuse the tension.

Unfortunately, when the national secretary met with the G-6, they were courageous enough to tell him that they would not support Abbas as presented by an outgoing speaker, the source continued.

Adamu is accused by the National Vice Chair of working against APC Zoning. Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s national vice chairman (North West), Salihu Moh’d Lukman, has accused the party’s national chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, of working against the party’s zoning structure for the 10th National Assembly leadership.

According to him, the governing party’s leadership is covertly working against the recently enacted zoning scheme, with Adamu acting as a factional leader.

The party’s leadership had nominated former Niger Delta Affairs Minister Godwill Akpabio as Senate President and Tajudeen Abbas as Speaker of the House of Representatives for the 10th National Assembly.
