It’s a sad week for the Nollywood industry as they have lost one of their well-respected actresses, Chizoba Sam-Boye.
The 52-year-old actress reportedly succumbed to an infected diabetic boil on Monday, May 12, 2020. The late Sam-Boye is said to have been battling with diabetes, high blood pressure, and stroke-related illnesses for many years.

The sad news of her unfortunate passing was announced on the Filmmakers’ Whatsapp group called, Film4Life. Madu Chikwendu who is a film critic and the regional representative for West Africa of the Pan-African Federation of Filmmakers (FEPAC1) broke the news and said “Chizoba Sam-Boye is dead”
Filmmaker, Jude Orhorha said that the late actress was rushed to the hospital on Sunday night and was then confirmed dead on Monday morning.
The veteran actress was first introduced to our screens when she starred in the two-part drama movie “Living in Bondage” before he passing she was well known for her role on the M-Net soap opera Tinsel.

Chizoba was married for 15 years to her veteran filmmaker husband Sam Boye.
