Oshiomhole said at a post-inauguration thanksgiving celebration at his country residence in Iyamho, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State, that he was willing to sacrifice his senatorial aspirations for President Bola Tinubu to win his presidential race.

He further stated that, although knowing that his political opponents would have harassed him out of Edo North if he had lost the National Assembly election, he was willing to take the risk.

According to him, the people of Edo North voted for him because they wanted him to duplicate what he accomplished as governor for the state, and he promised to guarantee that the district and the state benefit from the APC administration led by Tinubu.

During the campaign, I told you that if you want to give me one vote, give it to Tinubu, I told you that it was better for him to win as a president even if I lost as a senator than for me to win as a senator and he loses as president, he said.

In the end, I’m very proud to say and to repeat today here and now that in each of these six local governments, every ward, Tinubu won, I also won.

Today, I can proudly carry the results of the Afemai people, and I will say to Mr. President, this is my certificate, my people voted for you.

While thanking the people for overwhelmingly voting for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the polls, Adams pledged that President Tinubu will change the face of Nigeria and make Edo State better as president.

I’m not sure what would have happened if you’d voted against me. If I’m still alive, my blood pressure would skyrocket.
