Police discovers huge house in Ejigbo Lagos where hundreds were Imprisoned due to a Foreign job scam operated by the fake Qnet Company Syndicate.

Police investigators from the Lagos State Command’s Ejigbo Division discovered some premises where a suspected questionable company known as Qnet held hundreds of unsuspecting Nigerians captive after acquiring millions of Naira under the pretence of landing a foreign Dollars paying job abroad.

The house in question is located at 38 Adewale Adenuga Street and 12 Aya-oye Street, Ejigbo, Lagos, where the business dumped the victims after they sold their properties and donated the money to the syndicate while waiting for foreign jobs indefinitely.

The victims were alleged to have handed the organisation large sums of money ranging from N1.8m to N600,000 to N400,000 and were assured that if they got the job, they would be paid between $1000 USD monthly, provided housing, free visas, and resident licences, among other things.

The victims travelled from Benue, Kogi, Delta, Edo, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Ekiti, and Osun States to be held in various residences in the Ejigbo region.

The trouble began when some of the victims, who had been staying in the lounges for several months, revolted and informed the Police at Ejigbo Division, who acted.

Abraham Olamide, one of the syndicate’s leaders, was arrested after the victims filed a complaint.

Comfort Abah was one of the complainants who paid N1.8 million with the promise of a visa, lodging, and a job with a salary in dollars.

However, the victim, Comfort Abah, had been waiting for several months for the company to provide her the position as promised.

Isaac Daniel, Godwin Galadima, Mercy Ngana, Mathias Oche, Amen Cornelius, John Godwin, Umukoro Monday, Olokesusi Toyin, and hundreds of others were also killed.

Abraham Olaide, one of the syndicate’s leaders, has been brought before the Magistrate Court with conspiracy and acquiring under false pretence under Lagos State Criminal Laws.
