In a recent appearance on TVC’s program, Your View, Okusanya shared her experience and explained how she prepared her family for her unconventional role.

She admitted to sending her mother and siblings pictures of strippers, letting them know that they should expect her to play a similar character in her upcoming movie. Surprisingly, her family was prepared and supportive of her decision.

“I was not me. I was the character,” Lolade Okusanya emphasized. “I was in that phase. I was not thinking of me. So, before this [playing the role], I had already…

She further explained that her loved ones had mentally prepared themselves and even informed their extended families about her role in the movie.

Despite potential backlash from social media, Okusanya found solace in the support of her close circle. “But they had prepared their minds. They had prepared their own extended families’ minds.
