The long anticipated move of Jurrien Timber to Arsenal has finally been secured as the Dutch international gave the club his signature on Friday afternoon.
The former Ajax player had completed his medicals last week after the Gunners and his former team rounded up a deal worth £38 million.

The 22-year-old player has primarily excelled as a center-back for Ajax in the past two seasons, occasionally filling in as a right-back.
The acquisition of this talented defender was necessitated by injury troubles faced by William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes towards the end of the previous campaign.
Arsenal’s former right-back, Ben White, who possesses the ability to play in central defense as well, provides the manager with versatile options in the backline.
The new signing, Timber, also believes that he can contribute in midfield due to the similarities in playing style between Arsenal and Ajax.
“I think that I’m lucky to say that I can play as a central defender, as a right full-back, sometimes even on the midfield,” Timber said.
“So I think that’s a good thing and I need to keep that. I just like the way Arsenal play, is a bit similar to Ajax’s style and I like to play from the back.
“I can see a lot of similarities, especially in the way Arsenal and Ajax want to play.”
Timber is thrilled to be joining a club with a rich history of Dutch players, such as Marc Overmars, Thomas Vermaelen, and the legendary Denis Bergkamp.
“There are a couple of players [who have come here from Ajax], but there have been not a lot,” he said.
“So I think it’s special to be here as an Ajax player and it’s special that they notice you and they see me as the player I am.”
Eager to embark on his new journey, Timber expresses his excitement about being a part of Arsenal.
“I’m really excited, especially now I’m here. Everyone is so nice and you can see it’s a big club.
“I’m excited to play for this beautiful club, and I can’t wait to start, and to see the fans obviously in the stadium.”
