According to her, the relationship was influenced by pressure from a church where she served as a choir member.

The actress revealed that the church had pushed her into marrying her best friend, who was the choir director, despite them not being a suitable couple.
During an interview with Teju Babyface, Stella recounted how she received calls from people asking about her marriage after her ex-husband made public statements about their separation on Youtube.
She expressed her shock and confusion, as she was unaware that her marriage had ended until then.
She said: “The man in question travelled and was supposed to be away for a while and he was to come back and a few days after the man travelled, my phone was buzzing, I received messages from people asking,
“‘what is going on?’, ‘Are you okay?’ ‘Why didn’t you tell me there was something happening?’
“I am like what are all these links they are sending to me? As I started typing my name and before I was done, videos start coming up ‘Stella’s third marriage crashes’, ‘Karma is a bitch”
“And I called and we had a conversation and at that time I still didn’t know that anything had happened until I got the final call to say ‘No I am not coming back’.”
Stella shared that before her ex-husband, she had been married to someone else for eight months, which turned out to be a major mistake.
She described him as an amazing guy and her best friend, but their marriage was influenced by religious pressure, and they were not meant to be together as a couple.
She said, “It lasted eight months. Biggest mistake of my life because the guy was an amazing guy. But he was my friend, my best friend.
“And religion is what caused that problem that made us marry when we were not supposed to be married. We were supposed to be very good friends because as my friend, he was awesome. But as a married couple, we didn’t work. We just messed it up. And we knew it.”
Despite the failed marriage, they maintained respect for each other and chose not to discuss it publicly.
“So when we went our separate ways, we were like out of love and respect for each other, let’s just leave it. We don’t talk about it, we just leave it so that at least we can still say, hello, are you okay? How are you?”
The actress had been previously married to Jaiye Aboderin, who sadly passed away in 2004.
After her divorce, she later married filmmaker Daniel Ademinokan, who was previously married to actress Doris Simeon.
Their relationship also ended, and Stella reflected on the impact of religion on her past relationships.
