The Onojie of Ugbegun in Edo, Samuel Obade ll, has promised the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Governor Godwin Obaseki that the community of Edo would go out in large numbers to support his re-election in the September 19 governorship poll.
The monarch made the promise when the PDP campaign team and its contestant, Governor Obaseki, went to visit him in his palace during the party’s campaign rally in the area. He commended the governor for his good work in the state and guaranteed that the community would support him on his re-election.

Moreover, the royal leader applauded him for the progress in Edo, stating that he had come with solutions for most of the problems bedeviling the state. He further indicated that Obaseki had taken development to every corner and cranny of the Edo state.
On his part, the PDP candidate told the royal leader and his Council of Chiefs earlier, that the campaign train was in the community to ask for his blessings for his re-election. Adding that he was aware of the needs of the community and further stated that he can be able to meet the demands if given another four years in office.

Obaseki noted that the demands of the community were reasonable and the state government was currently looking into them with a view to meeting them. The Monarch stated that he was certain that the approaching poll would be the most peaceful in the history of the state.
