The All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate for the Sep 19, Edo governorship election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has assured to focus on the employment of educators in the state, if elected as governor.
The candidate made the promise while addressing people during his ward-to-ward campaigns at Arokho, Otuo and Uahumi communities in Owan East Local Government Area of Edo, on Tuesday, August 25, 2020. Ize-Iyamu pointed out that many schools in the state do not have the main subject educators and basic learning services.

“We have schools but no teachers to teach our students; teachers retire on a daily basis but the present state government has refused to employ more teachers. I promise to prioritise the employment of teachers in our schools to ensure our students get the right knowledge to become future leaders,” he said.
The APC candidate also assured that he will make certain that the skills acquisition centre, as well as the hospital built by a former member of the House of Representatives in the area is made useful. He added that he will also empower local vigilantes and place them on a monthly salary to permit operative community policing.

“My SIMPLE Agenda is to make life better for all Edo people through manpower development, job creation, and leadership by example and infrastructural development, among others. This council is known for farming. I promise to assist farmers with loans and farm inputs if elected Edo Governor,” added the pastor.
Moreover, he also promised to enable the installation of telecommunication connectivity equipment in the Arokho community.
