Veteran broadcaster and actor, Sadiq Daba, died on Wednesday evening, at Lagos Hospital after losing a battle to leukaemia and prostate cancer.
His death was confirmed by filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan, with whom he recently worked with on the 2020 motion picture, Citation which was the last movie he appeared in. Kunle said he spoke with his wife and son who confirmed his passing to him.

The ace broadcaster went public with his illness in November 2017. He revealed revealed he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer. This was coming barely months after he was hospitalised for months due to leukaemia.
Kunle also took to his Instagram posted a pic of himself along with Daba and wrote: “You will be missed “Uncle S”. You made your mark. Orun re.”
