Paul Scholes, Manchester United legend has dismissed Chelsea’s chances as a title contender for this season’s the Premier League title arguing that it remains a two-horse race between Manchester City and Liverpool.
Thomas Tuchel’s side currently top the table with 22 points from their first nine games with Liverpool one point behind while Manchester City with 20 points in third place.

However, the player turned pundits believes they are not capable of mounting a title challenge as he rates Liverpool and Mancity a better contender.
“Chelsea… I’m not sure, they have been great and I think they are better than I actually give them credit for but I think it’s between Liverpool and Manchester City.
“I think City watching that (Man United’s 5-0 loss to Liverpool) in the Champions League or the Premier League, that will frighten them.”

Liverpool on the other hand have been prolific and a serious contender after the 5-0 drubbing of United at Old Trafford and City have not lost a game in the Premier League since the opening weekend of the new campaign.
Meanwhile, Chris Sutton believes his former side Chelsea are favourites to win the Premier League this season.
“I believe Chelsea will win the Premier League – their squad is so strong and their academy players are flourishing,”.
Chelsea haven’t won the Premier League title since 2016/17, when Antonio Conte was in charge.
