Bayelsa, Kebbi and Ebonyi states have reported new coronavirus cases as Nigeria confirmed cases for the COVID-19 rise to 1,273 with five new deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday, released an updates statistic of the coronavirus pandemic in the country. According to the record, there are 91 confirmed new cases in 15 states including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Following the agency’s report, 48 of the new cases were recorded in Lagos, eight in Sokoto, six in Taraba and five cases each in Kaduna and Gombe state with a total death toll of 40 in the country.

Meanwhile, Rivers State, Abuja, Ondo, Edo, Bauchi and Oyo States recorded three cases each, with two cases in Osun. Bayelsa, Ebonyi and Kebbi States have also recorded confirmed cases according to the NCDC.

With Lagos State standing as the epicentre of the coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria, the total number of confirmed cases in the state has increased to 731.
With the virus confirmed in Bayelsa, Ebonyi and Bauchi it has now spread to 30 states out of 37 states in the most populous nation in Africa.
