The PDP delegates, led by Senator Samuel Anyanwu, reportedly arrived at Kalu’s residence at 12:28 p.m. today, December 2, 2021.
Samuel Anyanwu was greeted by Kalu’s associates, who led him to meet the lawmaker, according to reports. After exchanging pleasantries, the politicians reportedly went into a private room for a meeting.
As the meeting progressed, other party executives joined. The meeting took place amid speculation that Kalu was being groomed to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.
Remember that on Saturday, November 20, 2021, Tinubu paid a visit to the former governor of Abia and met with him behind closed doors.
Tinubu has been meeting with top politicians in the country since his return from knee surgery in a London hospital. His meetings are thought to be related to his rumoured presidential ambitions.
Alhaji Tanko Yakasai, an elder statesman and top politician in the north, recently revealed that Tinubu visited him to seek his support for his (Tinubu’s) presidential ambition.
