Inetimi Timaya Odon, also known as Timaya, a popular Nigerian artist, has been arrested after he was accused of nearly killing a woman with his car.
It was previously reported that a woman turned to social media to accuse Timaya of hitting her sister with his car and fled the scene in the Ikate region of Lagos state. According to Instagram user @whyte 26, the ‘Outside’ hitmaker allegedly smashed her sister’s car, and when she got out to confront him, he ran her over and fled.
Following the event, she posted screenshots of her messages to Timaya on Instagram, as well as the fact that Timaya blocked her on the platform when she confronted him. ICYMI. Rather than acknowledging or denying the claim, he continued to tweet as if nothing had happened, which sparked outrage among Twitter users.
In the most recent update, Nigerian police officers invaded the pop star’s home on Thursday morning, March 3. The officers whisked him away in a video that made its way across the internet.
