Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, a Yoruba Nation agitator, has been released from the Benin Republic government’s custody.
Ilana Omo Oodua, the umbrella organisation for Yoruba self-determination groups, verified this in a press release on Monday. Prof Banji Akintoye, a renowned Yoruba historian, was given Igboho, according to the statement.

According to Adeleye, Sunday Igboho was released on Monday to Professor Banji Akintoye, a Yoruba leader and the leader of the Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, and Professor Wale Adeniran, a French language expert and Deputy Alana of the Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide.
Ighoho’s release was a “Triumph of Truth over Darkness in Yoruba Land,” he said.
