Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has expressed his approval for a potential transfer to Manchester United this summer.
This has made him a key target for United manager Erik ten Hag during the ongoing transfer window.

Ten Hag is keen on bolstering the midfield department, even after securing the signature of Mason Mount, and plans to fund Amrabat’s acquisition through player sales.
Part of the funds for the purchase is expected to come from the potential offloading of Fred and Scott McTominay.
While there have been reports suggesting a deal had already been finalized, it appears that there is still significant work to be done before the transfer is completed.
According to Italian reporter Alfredo Pedulla, there were meetings between Manchester United and Amrabat’s representatives on Monday, indicating active discussions.
The player himself has given the green light to the move, expressing his desire for a fresh challenge away from Fiorentina.
Pedulla notes that Amrabat’s transfer could cost Manchester United a base fee of £22-25 million, with additional bonuses potentially taking the deal to £30 million.
In his words: “After what has been said in recent days, we can add that contacts are increasingly active and that important steps were taken during the day as well.”
“Amrabat said yes to the transfer, now the Red Devils have to make some exits but they have also bet on the Moroccan. It can be done for a base of 22-25 million plus bonuses to get to 30.”
“We are not at the definitive agreements, but it is a hot lead and one to follow.”
However, definitive agreements are yet to be reached, and negotiations are ongoing.
ViolaNews via GIFN also corroborates the talks between Amrabat and Manchester United, highlighting the mutual interest from both sides.
The Moroccan midfielder has informed Fiorentina of his intention to leave and seek a new opportunity, and United seems to be his preferred destination.
