SurgeZirc NG also gathered that the Uzokwa ward is just a stone throw from the Ihiala Local Government Area Headquarters, yet no staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission has been deployed there to proceed with the last lap of the state governorship election at the time of this report.

Meanwhile, a chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Victor Umeh was denied access on Tuesday morning by security forces into Ihiala local government headquarters, SurgeZirc NG reports.

Umeh who is said to have arrived at the LGA headquarters with other party members was confronted by the GOC, 82 Division for showing up where they shouldn’t be.

“You are not supposed to be here,” the GOC reportedly screamed at Umeh who insisted that he was there “to ensure things go well”.

SurgeZirc NG reports that the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the Anambra governorship election, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has expressed confidence in winning the exercise.

In a post on his Facebook page on Tuesday morning, Soludo stated he is already the winner of the election, saying that the race is “over”.

The former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) added that with the current statistics shown by INEC, he will be declared the winner of the 2021 Anambra governorship election.

He wrote: “Let’s do simple math. Ihiala has 148,000 registered voters but only 42,000 voters picked up their PVC. So INEC statistics shows that you won’t get more than 42,000 votes in Ihiala. It is game over.”
