APC officials and zonal women leaders have expressed their unhappiness with the leadership of Betta Edu, the party’s National Women Leader, in what appears to be a building crisis.
SurgeZirc NG learnt about this on Sunday from a letter submitted to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by Hon. Omorede Osifo, APC Deputy National Treasurer, and eight other women leaders.

Recall that Edu and other APC leaders paid Tinubu a visit at the Presidential Villa two days earlier.
The APC’s chosen women executives and zonal leaders, on the other hand, have overwhelmingly voted no confidence in Edu and distanced themselves from her recent visit to the President.
During her visit to the Presidential Villa, they accused Edu of misrepresentation and self-aggrandizement.
As a result, they said that, contrary to media reports, Edu does not represent the party’s elected National Women Officials and Zonal Women Leaders.
Many of the women displayed, they claimed, were not democratically elected national officers, such as National Executive Council Members, Zonal Women Leaders, three women senators, 15 female House of Representatives members, and other significant women leaders and stakeholders.
The offended female leader begged Tinubu for an audience to hear her complaints.
We want Mr. President to know that the majority of the women exhibited by Dr. Betta Edu were primarily phoney.
Authentic and democratically elected national officers, including National Executive Council members, all Zonal women leaders, three women senators, fifteen female House of Representatives members, and a slew of other relevant women leaders and stakeholders were replaced by impersonators during the President’s visit.
