On Friday afternoon, Real Madrid organized a presentation to introduce their new signing, Arda Güler, at Valdebebas.
The 18-year-old player from Turkey started by delivering a brief speech from the podium, expressing his gratitude to everyone who contributed to his journey.

He also thanked the president for his kind words and expressed his ambition to become a legendary figure at the club.
Following the podium speech, Güler appeared in the press room for his first press conference as a player in Real Madrid.
When asked why he chose Real Madrid over Barcelona, he said: “Many clubs wanted to sign me and we were in contact with many of them, but Real Madrid was my preference.
“When Real Madrid expressed interest, the other offers weren’t as interesting. I want to give this club all my talent.”
Regarding his preferred position on the field, Güler mentioned that he is comfortable playing centrally or wide, but his main focus is earning playing time.
He described himself as an offensive player who enjoys creating goalscoring opportunities and is willing to play wherever the coach sees fit.
There were inquiries about the possibility of Güler going out on loan, but he firmly rejected that idea.
He said: “I rule out that possibility. I want to stay here. Going out on loan doesn’t enter into my thinking. I’ve come here to play and I’ll play.
“There are many good players here, but I feel I’m ready to play here. I’m going to give my all to earn my place in the squad. The coach called me a few times and told me where I’d play.”
Reflecting on his idols from Real Madrid, Güler praised the club’s rich history and mentioned Cristiano Ronaldo, Zinedine Zidane, Mesut Özil, Guti, and Luka Modrić as players he admired.
He expressed his eagerness to learn from Modrić, whom he considers the best midfielder in the world, and expressed his aspiration to become a part of Real Madrid’s storied history.
He was also asked about his relationship with former Real Madrid Player Mesut Özil, given that they both shared a dressing room in Fenerbahçe.
In response, Güler said: “He told me that it’s the biggest club in the world. He always spoke very well of the club and gave me advice.”
During the conference, club President Florentino Pérez also addressed the audience, stressing the need of strengthening the team and continuing the club’s successful path.
He warmly welcomed Güler, recognizing his talent and expressing gratitude for choosing Real Madrid.
