Having already undergone a medical examination last week ending, the 24-year-old midfielder is keen to wrap up the transfer within the next 24 hours to join Arsenal on their pre-season tour.

In addition to Rice, Dutch defender Jurrien Timber is also expected to seal his move to Arsenal shortly.

The 22-year-old Dutchman completed his medical examination last week and is set to join the Gunners on a long-term contract worth a potential £38.5 million.

Arsenal will be thrilled to have secured the signings of all three key summer targets before embarking on their USA tour, with the earlier acquisition of Kai Havertz for £65 million last month.

While the Gunners may still be active in the transfer market before the window closes, their immediate focus will shift to offloading players.

One player attracting interest is defender Rob Holding, who has caught the attention of Turkish club Besiktas.

The Turkish side made a £2.1 million bid for the 27-year-old, but it was rejected by Arsenal.

Holding has one year remaining on his current contract, with the option to extend for an additional year.

Whether Besiktas will return with an improved offer remains uncertain, as it falls below Arsenal’s valuation of the player.

Alongside Rice and Kai Havertz who had already joined the club, Jurrien Timber is also expected to join the Gunners, bringing their total summer signings to three.
