Britney Spears is officially jubilant after her conservatorship was lifted after 13 years.

Judge Brenda Penny issued the historic verdict during a court hearing in Los Angeles Superior on Friday, delighting supporters who have been aggressively fighting for the singer’s freedom through the #FreeBritney movement.

Shortly after the decision, the Toxic hitmaker uploaded a video of fans cheering and confetti cannons being set off outside the courthouse.

She wrote: ‘Good God I love my fans so much it’s crazy!!! I think I’m gonna cry the rest of the day !!!! Best day ever … praise the Lord … can I get an Amen???? #FreedBritney.’

Britney added on Instagram: ‘I can’t freaking believe it !!!! Again … best day ever !!!!’

The star’s fiance Sam Asghari shared an image on Instagram of the word ‘Freedom.’

He wrote in the caption: ‘History was made today. Britney is Free! ❤️’.

The historic ruling comes after the renowned singer had fought for the past five years to get her court-appointed conservatorship lifted, which was imposed in 2008 after she suffered a mental health breakdown.

With a few minor exceptions, the conservatorship of Britney’s estate and of her person have both been terminated.

The conservatorship was terminated by the judge without the need for any additional mental evaluation.
