Boxing Legend Mike Tyson prepares for a return to the ring. The former undisputed heavyweight champion uploaded a video of himself training, showing he has lost none of his speed and power as he prepares for another fight.
Popularly called Iron Mike, Mike Tyson, 53, showed off his agility and power in a pair of training videos recently posted on his Instagram page. He said: “I’m back! It may not be over yet, anything is possible. I feel unstoppable now. The gods of war have reawakened me, ignited my ego, and want me to go to war again.”
In the second video, Iron Mike showed off the left and right hooks that floored many men in his prime.
“I’d like to announce that I will be making an official comeback to the ring. I will be fighting in exhibition matches for a great cause: #Unite4OurFight.” Tyson said.
It’s not yet known who Tyson would come up against should this return culminate in a fight, but former arch-nemesis Evander Holyfield has thrown his hat in the ring to meet “Iron Mike” for the third time.
Tyson and Holyfield’s rivalry reached a state of extreme excitement in 1997 when the Brooklyn-born star bit a chunk of the former cruiserweight champion’s ear off during their fight.
Despite that, Holyfield is prepared to make a comeback himself and is open to meeting Tyson once more.
Iron Mike was invincible until 1990 when he lost the heavyweight championship to Buster Douglas. That fight birthed one of the biggest upsets in boxing history.
Tyson retired after his last professional fight in 2005 when he lost to Kevin McBride.
