Manchester United’s new signing, Bruno Fernandes is under pressure to continue his fine display after being snapped up from Sporting Lisbon in the January transfer window.
The deal might have taken a long time to be completed, but Manchester United’s signing of Bruno Fernandes quickly began to look like the season’s best deal.
Although the player himself has insisted he is not responsible for a fine run in form for the Red Devils that saw them go 11 games unbeaten in all competitions, only a few people can deny his positive impact since joining Manchester United for an initial fee of £46.5million (€55 million).

In February, his spectacular form earned him the Premier League Player of the Month, making him the first Manchester United player after Anthony Martial to win the much-coveted award on his debut month.

According to data provided by Opta, Fernandes surely looks like the man to fulfill Manchester United’s ambition for Champions League football next season.

Since his debut on February 1, Fernandes has been directly involved in five Premier League goals, scoring twice and assisting three times. No Premier League player matched that over the same period.
Unsurprisingly, Fernandes also tops the chart for the most attempted shots since his debut in February. So far, he has 19 shots to his name.
With the Premier League’s resumption in sight, Fernandes would be expected to pick up where he left off three months after the league was suspended due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.
