President Muhammadu Buhari has approved 878 contracts and 319 Policies, in the last six years, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha has said.
Mustapha revealed this, on Monday during the mid-term ministerial performance retreat, saying most of the contracts are targeted at the country’s infrastructure to boost economic growth and development.

The SGF said, the analysis of the approved policies show that the administration is committed to addressing the myriads of needs and challenges of citizens. Mustapha said the last two years have been the most productive as the federal executive council approved 381 contracts, 110 policies and 88 briefs/notes.
“In terms of the performance of the federal executive council, let me acknowledge that the last two years have been most productive,” he said.
“During this 2nd term of Mr President from May 29, 2019, to August 31, 2021, the federal executive council held 52 meetings and granted 579 approvals comprising 381 contracts, 110 policies and 88 briefs/notes.
“Overall, the total number of contracts, policies and briefs/notes approved by the federal executive council between November 2015 and August 2021 stand at 1,403 comprising 878 contracts, 319 policies and 206 briefs/notes,” he said
The SGF also said the present administration remained focused on its cardinal responsibility of responsively addressing the myriads of needs and challenges of its citizens through the 319 approved policies initiated during the period.
“I am glad to say that with the introduction of the Ministerial Mandates by the President, there is greater clarity of expectations of MDAs on deliverables of government priorities to achieve demonstrable results.

“Today, there are embedded systems for performance management and improved accountability and transparency for the delivery of services to citizens.
“The key focus of this Mid-Term ministerial retreat is to review the status of progress towards the delivery of the nine priority areas,” NAN quoted him as saying.
