President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived at the National Assembly (NASS) )for the 2022 annual budget presentation to the joint session of lawmakers amidst tight security, as DAILY POST reported that banks in the complex were shut down with other vendors selling food and other commodities not opened for business.
The President arrived at 12.05 pm with top government officials and a retinue of aides to the waiting lawmakers at the green chamber of the House of Representatives.

He was immediately received by the Senate President, Dr Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.
It would be recalled that both chambers of the National Assembly passed the revised Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) with a few adjustments to the proposal by Buhari.

Also, the House on Wednesday held a long closed-door session. It is believed that the session discussed the budget presentation.
