On 22nd July, Audiomack made a significant announcement, declaring Nigerian singer Burna Boy as the inaugural African artist to achieve one billion streams on their platform.

This remarkable milestone not only showcases Burna Boy’s immense popularity as an internationally acclaimed musician but, also highlights Audiomack’s ability to connect artists with a global audience, solidifying its reach and influence in the music industry.

Burna Boy has played a central role in the global rise of African music over the past few years. Both of his recent albums.

Twice As Tall released in 2020 and Love, Damini in 2022, have individually surpassed 300 million streams on Audiomack.

The latter album also earned Burna Boy a prestigious GRAMMY Award for Best World Music Album, making him the first Nigerian artist to achieve this recognition.
