Emeka Rollas, President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, has revealed that Cynthia Okereke’s account was cleared on Friday.
Rollas, who was providing an update on the alleged kidnapping of two of his members, Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornell (Agbogidi). He said: “We have not confirmed the kidnap as it were. The only thing we know is that all the money in Cynthia Okereke’s account was cleared this morning.”

However, the AGN’s Director of Communications, Monalisa Chinda-Coker, revealed in a statement that the two actors were suspected of being kidnapped.
According to her statement, the two members were suspected of kidnapping, raising concerns among members about the safety of actors filming in the country. The AGN urged Nollywood producers not to film on the outskirts of cities where proper security is lacking.
“The two members were suspected to have been kidnapped and this has increased fear amongst members about safety of Actors filming in the country.
“In view of this sad development, the National President of the Guild Ejezie Emeka Rollas has instructed all Actors to avoid going to outskirt of cities to film except full security cover is provided to ensure their safety,” read the statement signed by Monalisa Chinda.
It is said that Okereke alongside her colleague Cornell were kidnapped after they left a movie location in Enugu State.
According to Chinda, veteran actors Okereke and Clemson aka Agbogidi were reportedly missing after their family members confirmed they didn’t come back from a film location at Ozalla Town, Enugu State.
