Detroit Auto Show is the latest 2020 auto show to be canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak, in fact it’s not about what time it will hold, it’s about facing the fight against the deadly coronavirus pandemic.

The organizers of the Detroit Auto Show have canceled the show which is officially a North American International Auto Show as its venue, the “TCF Center” has been turned into a field hospital for COVID_19 patients.
The next Detroit Show will not hold until June 2021, which is over two and a half years after the last event.

Producers of the show had initially moved the show from January to June to avoid clashing with other events. The move was also planned to make other outdoor events and test drives that weren’t possible during Michigan winter work.
The Detroit Auto Show has long been an important show for American auto builders and foreign brands that looks to make a splash in the region. More recently, the show has served as a showcase spot for brands of all kinds as they’re all launching electric cars.

Even with the cancellation of the Detroit Auto Show companies will still introduce new cars, it’s just going to be much harder to see these introductions in person, and there might not be as much fanfare as it should have been.
The Detroit Auto Show becomes one of many American shows that were postponed as a result of the pandemic.
