After parting from her billionaire husband, a former Miss UK is said to have become the UK’s richest divorcee.
Kirsty Bertarelli, 50, is thought to have received £350 million after parting from Ernesto Bertarelli after 21 years of marriage.
The couple has three children together and is said to have divorced this year.
“It is with sadness that Ernesto and Kirsty Bertarelli reveal that they have divorced,” their spokesman told newsmen.
In this year’s Sunday Times Rich List, Kirsty and Ernesto were rated 14th and 14th, respectively, with a combined wealth of £9.2 billion.
The sum would make her the wealthiest divorcee in British legal history, coming up just short of the Queen’s estimated worth of £365 million.
“The decision was a joint one, and the split amicable,” a spokesman for the couple said.
Mrs Bertarelli was apparently handed a modern mansion beside Lake Geneva in Switzerland, which she purchased this year for £52 million, in addition to her settlement. She also has an £8 million chalet in Gstaad, Switzerland.
Mrs Bertarelli is now worth more than Sir Mick Jagger, who is claimed to be worth £310 million, Ed Sheeran, who is worth £220 million, and Adele, who is worth £140 million.
She was represented by Baroness Fiona Shackleton, the divorce lawyer for Prince Charles and Sir Paul McCartney.

Kirsty was named Miss UK in 1988 and placed second runner-up in the Miss World pageant that same year.
She went on to have a successful career as a pop singer and songwriter, co-writing All Saints’ No. 1 track Black Coffee, which became a worldwide hit in 2000.
