According to IDOMA VOICE, the impersonator has subsequently been handed over to actual DSS authorities for further investigation.

The incident occurred when authorities got aware of a person impersonating a DSS agent and reportedly working as the orderly to a woman who falsely claimed to be the Acting First Lady.

As the governor is a Catholic priest, the fraudulent portrayal sparked suspicions and spurred rapid action by law enforcement officials in Makurdi.

Following an extensive inquiry, it was determined that the claimed orderly had no affiliation with the DSS and was acting under false pretenses.

The individual was apprehended by authorities and then handed over to his actual colleagues within the DSS for extensive questioning.

The office of Governor Hyacinth Alia has not issued a formal remark regarding the incident. However, it is believed that steps would be done to strengthen security standards and prevent unauthorized individuals from gaining access to important government posts.

According to him, Jonathan, who was formerly a Christian, claimed to have converted to Islam and now bears Shaibu Adamu in order to meet one of the requirements for the marriage.

He stated that it was discovered to have taken various belongings of the alleged wife to an enigmatic matrimonial residence in Jalingo.

He claimed that the suspect deceitfully collected the woman’s Honda Odyssey vehicle with the promise of buying her a brand new Toyota vibe automobile when he received his leave allowance and other service items.

He was apparently telling lies in order to conceal his fraudulent identity from his acclaimed wife and the general public.

One of the suspect’s most recent victim identified the suspect as a 55-year-old diviocee and mother of four whom he met in Gombe State earlier this year and proposed a deceptive marriage to.
