“The Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) is currently working with the National Park Service (NPS) to partially commercialize three of our national parks,” Goni stated.
“This is to contribute to the global agenda of attempting to engage NGOs in conservation activities, and I hope that with the designation of Cross River National Park, Kainji Lake National Park, and Gashaka-Gumti National Park, the process will be accelerated so that investors and entrepreneurs coming into this country will support the government in the not-too-distant future.”

According to the Sources, he stated that commercialization would combat invasion by host communities since investors would improve the locals’ incomes.
