Fiorentina has dismissed reports claiming they have received an official bid from Manchester United for their midfielder, Sofyan Amrabat.
The 26-year-old, who previously played under Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag during his time at Utrecht, has been linked with a potential reunion with his former manager.

However, it appears that United is not the only Premier League club interested in the Serie A star, as Liverpool is also reportedly in the mix for his signature.
The Reds are seeking reinforcements following the departure of several midfielders, including Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, who are rumored to be moving to the Saudi Pro League, along with others like James Milner.
Fiorentina’s General Manager, Joe Barone, spoke out against the speculation, asserting that Amrabat is very attached to the team and the two have regular communication in English.
He clarified that as of now, no official bid has been received, and he has encouraged Amrabat to remain focused on Fiorentina as he is currently a part of their squad.
Barone emphasized the strength of their existing midfield department.
Fiorentina had an impressive run in last season’s Europa Conference League, reaching the final but eventually losing to West Ham.
They will be participating in the competition again this season but have already faced departures from last season’s squad.
There are also rumors linking their centre-back, Igor, to a potential Premier League move, with Fulham among the interested parties.
Despite Liverpool’s substantial £100m spending on new midfielders earlier in the summer, reports suggest they remain interested in Amrabat.
The arrivals of Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister have been offset by several departures from the team.
On the other hand, Manchester United’s transfer strategy is influenced by budget considerations, particularly after signing Mason Mount and Andre Onana.
However, they could potentially raise funds through the sale of fringe players, with interest reportedly surrounding Scott McTominay and Fred.
Erik ten Hag has shown a preference for bringing in players he has previously worked with.
The most recent example is goalkeeper Andre Onana, who excelled under ten Hag’s guidance at Ajax and has now joined Manchester United.

Onana expressed his excitement about the opportunity to work with ten Hag again and hopes to contribute to the club’s success.
While rumors continue to circulate about Amrabat’s potential move to Manchester United or Liverpool, Fiorentina remains firm in its stance, and no concrete offers have been received yet.
