Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka, the spiritual leader of the Adoration Ministry in Enugu, Nigeria, has on Tuesday, May 11 announced a 30-days shutdown of the ministry to allow him to embark on a prayer retreat.

The ministry sent a statement to its members that Father Mbaka who was recently taking away after he publicly condemned Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari for leading a failed government that is currently witnessing the massive killing of innocent citizens by Fulani herdsmen was proceeding on a one-month private prayer.

According to the statement, the private prayer will end on Thursday, June 10 after which the Priest will be available to hold public religious activities with his members.

Father Mbaka is one of the few bold religious leaders who have spoken against the incompetence of the Nigerian government as it has failed to take pragmatic steps to save its citizens from killings, kidnapping of students, abduction of women and girls from local farms and schools.

Part of the notice to members of the Adoration reads, “Our Spiritual Director, Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka wishes to inform his beloved adorers that he has embarked on a private prayer retreat that will end on 10th June 2021.

“Consequently, no ministry activities shall be held in the ministry ground pending his return. He directs that members of the ministry are to observe this period of his retreat as they used to do during the usual January breaks of the ministry, by praying at their homes, being charitable, and fasting according to their ability.

Adoration! Holy Spirit is our Power.”

Fr. Mbaka was reportedly missing by his members who later launched a massive protest in Enugu demanding his unconditional release after he publicly addressed the insecurity in Nigeria… declaring that President Buhari has failed to protect lives and properties in the country… not to mention the growing number of unemployment and hunger while commending Nnamdi Kanu the leader of the “Indigenous People of Biafra” (IPOB) for taking practical steps to secure lives and property of the old Eastern Region via ‘Eastern Security Network’ (ESN).

It’s currently unclear if the cleric who now sees Nigeria as a failed state like many other Nigerians is taking the one-month prayer period to pray for the quick dissolution of Nigeria and to back up the pro-Biafran leader Nnamdi Kanu in his Biafran restoration movement.
